Spring is in the AIR!!!!!

I am not overly bothered by winter but I am sure happy to see spring show its beautiful head. We have been having gorgeous weather which has us outside taking in the rays.
----------------------------------------------------------------

I promise this picture is not staged. Natasha always seems to be sporting plumbers crack (or almost the whole butt). It doesn't even matter if I cinch a belt around her waist, her pants still come down. Anyway she is usually oblivious to it as you can see here...she is busy working in my flower garden.

My darling (on this day) husband. He ALWAYS takes a nice picture. If you look in his glasses you can see my reflection...

I am not sure how many miles this car has seen but the odometer could have very well turn over to zero again. This was my brothers (who is 17) and many others kids before mine. This is Ashley checking it out for the first time.

Natasha being the big sister...telling Ashley "No No No little birdie"

Digging in the dirt.

Ashley on the other tricycle we have. If her sister is doing something, she must do the same thing.

Natasha got her tricycle for her second birthday. She didn't get much time on it that year before her sister and winter arrived, and last year she just couldn't get it. This year she hopped on like she had been riding for years. It will take a little bit for her legs to get used to the different muscles working but I am sure it will see the miles this year.

Silly Putty Diaster....

I don't think I posted about this anywhere. Auntie Dana bought Natasha some Silly putty. We were travelling to Red Deer and she wanted to hold it. I told her "Fine as long as you don't open it." Well being 3 she didn't listen, open it up and dropped it on the seat. So that silly putty was gone, taken away. I told her if she behaved I would buy her some more when we got back home. Well she has such a great memory that as we were driving into Edmonton she reminded me I had to stop and buy her some new silly putty. So I stopped. She played with her new silly putty for the remainder of the day. At bedtime she wanted to sleep with it but I said no. I put it in the container and put it up. So at about 3:30am I am awoken by screaming. I walk into her bedroom and her head is stuck to her sheets courtesy of silly putty. So I worked on her hair, taking what I could out, until 4am. I wrapped the rest in Saran wrap and ordered her back to bed. In the morning I doused her hair with cooking oil and got the rest out. For the amount of hair that came off her head, I was worried we were destined for an appointment with the hairdresser. This worried me, as her hair has taken so long to get to the length it is now. Anyway after the hard work she had a shower, washed her hair 4 times, and then we dried it. Below is a picture of the hair that came off, and her look after her hair was blowdried. I don't think you can notice....

Cleaning Up

Do you ever find yourself cleaning up one room to find another waiting in the wing? Yesterday was my cleaning day. I put a gate up so the girls could play downstairs with limited access (no kitchen, animal food) to the rest of the house. I was working upstairs and they were playing quietly, nicely and busily. No fighting, screaming so I was happy to get somethings upstairs without any "help." I went downstairs to see a whole box of spagetti on the floor. Natasha says to me "Mommy are you mad?" When I said no they decided to stomp on the spagetti and make an even bigger mess.

Update (Without Pictures)

Usually when I post I like to capture the audience (the little that I have) with pictures but this time you will just have to use your reading skills.

Trip
For those of you that don't know, Adam and I booked a trip to Mexico. We are jetting off to the south on March 30 for 8 nights. We will be staying at Pallidium Resort and Spa about 30 minutes outside of Puerto Vallarta. Aside from our one night stint in Kelowna last summer this will be our first trip together in our 5 years of marriage. This will be my first tropical trip and I am counting the minutes. I started packing about two weeks ago...LOL! Both of us are looking forward to reconnecting without kids. Grandma (my mom) will be watching the girls (and the dog) while we are gone. THANKS MOM!! I have explained to Natasha that when we go on our holiday she is having her own special trip to the farm. So I have my countdown on the calendar, and she has hers. While you want your kids to miss you, you also want them to be good without you. I have no doubt I will miss my girls more than they will even think about me!

Adam
Well Adam is in his last four days of his four year apprenticeship as an electrician. I am so proud of him!!!! His first period was in Red Deer, staying with his parents. His last period is in Red Deer, staying with his parents. We have been back and forth between Red Deer since the beginning of January and we are glad to see it come to an end. Adam has busted his ass to keep his grades up. He has studied hard, harder and the hardest I have seen over the four years. He is thinking of picking up a second trade, welding, so we could be back at the beginning sooner than later. I can't believe it has finally come down to the end and I can't wait to celebrate with a margarita on the beach!!

Weightloss
When Adam started school in Red Deer, I started hitting the gym. My first motivation was knowing, in the back of my mind, that we were going to travel to Mexico. I have been doing an hour of cardio per day and watching what I eat. To date I am down almost 25 lbs. My clothes are fitting better, and I am feeling better. I actually am happy to put on a pair of shorts which I don't think I have done since I was pregnant with Natasha.

With this weightloss I wonder how people control themselves from being obsessive over it. When I put on clothes and look in the mirror, I see the changes and it feels good. BUT sometimes when I look I still see myself as I was 25 lbs ago and think I still have a ways to go. How do you set a goal and reach it feeling happy? I set a goal of 25lbs and now that I am here (or damn close) I hear myself saying "I would like to lose X more pounds." Anyway....

The Girls
Natasha and Ashley are busy as always. Ashley is bossy, loud, and sometimes I think she is missing a dangly part between her legs...LOL! But my little Ashley bird can be sweet and extremely charming when she wants to be. Natasha just talks, talks, talks. For the longest time it was like pulling teeth to get her on the phone. Within the last couple of days....she wants to talk, talk, talk! Spring break is coming up so she will be off school for a week. I also signed her up for soccer which starts near the end of April.

Well that's it for now. I will try and update more over the next week and then update A LOT with pictures when I get back from Mexico!

Sunsets Again

Another beautiful sunset at the inlaws again. The view is not the greatest but you will get a good idea of the gorgeous colours displayed!!!

My Blonde Beauties....

I don't know where my happy, playful girls were today. Ashley is fighting a cold therefore clingy, whiny, and overall just miserable. Natasha was just off. I have never seen her like she was today. She had a nap this afternoon, barely spoke all day, was alseep by 7:00pm. I took them swimming in hopes of bringing her back to life...but after an hour she was ready to go back to Grandad's. She said after a good nights sleep....my happy Natasha will be back.

Pictures of Me....

Rarely do I post a picture of myself....RARELY! I have been hitting the gym since the beginning of January in anticipation of our trip to MEXICO at the end of March. Since I have been dropping pounds (almost 20lbs) my self esteem has been on the rise. A VERY TALENTED aquaintance of mine took these photos for me and I think she did a wonderful job. I hope you like them....

Naked Glow

Well it has been a month since I started a new skin care regime. The product is called Naked Glow. I am not sure who carries it retail, as my cousin got from a supplier in Saskatoon. Anyway I am going to post a picture from a month ago and then one taken today.
BEFORE

AFTER

Do you see a difference? I won't be offended if you don't but looking in the mirror I see a difference. Regardless, I feel good doing something good for myself.
