We Keep Growing

I am beginning to feel like the Ocotomom. Two new lambs have been added to the herd. One girl, Rosie. One boy, Pip. I am pretty sure Rosie will stick for a name but Pip might change. I came up with Pip, as in Pipsqueak, because the male was a runt and thought to be dead. I now have 4 babies that need to be bottle fed 4 times a day. In addition to the 2 dogs, 5 cats, a coop full of chickens and 3 human mouths to feed...I am busy. I love it but thank goodness I have two girls who are willing to help.

Vermilion Dance Festival

Wow she looks grown up!! Natasha had her first dance festival today and came home with a gold medal and a silver medal. Way to go NATASHA!! We are soooo proud of you!

Kotex Commercial

After watching Cori's link I found this one on the same site. Friggin hilarious if you ask me. Much better than ALWAYS telling women to have a HAPPY PERIOD...if there is such a thing.

He's WALKING....FINALLY!!!

16 months old and I can officially say, HE IS WALKING!! He is the slowest walker within our family. Natasha walked at her first birthday. Ashley walked two weeks before her first. He really took his sweet time. He has been pushing things around for a long time. And always in a hurry to get to wherever he is going. He has taken 3-4 steps on his own. Today he just decided to walk across the room. And then back. And then back again. He had a loud cheer section that included two proud sisters and an astonished mom. Now to break the 20lb barrier.

Sorry the video is sideways :-(

Maiden Voyage....EEK!!!

Adam bought a motorbike and today is the maiden voyage with Daylan as the teacher. They were both excited. Adam has someone to teach him and Daylan has someone to ride with. Not sure where they went or how long they will be cause sometimes it is hard to put a time limit on having fun.

Introducing....

Smokers and Linus. Smokers is the little mottled one and Linus is the brown one with a straight black line running down his back. Both are Nubian billy kids and bottle fed. We went to an auction sale yesterday looking for ducklings and chicks but came home with goats. Our little farm is growing and what fun it is. June is promising a fence, donkey and baby, and Moxie returns home with her own baby (fingers crossed). The picture opportunities just increased 10 fold. I am a happy little farmer :-)

The pictures aren't the greatest as 3 human kids and 2 goat kids don't really like to sit still.

Gorgeous, beautiful....and out my front door!!

Alberta has gorgeous sunsets. The only sunset too challenge its beauty might be the one that sets on the ocean. I am blessed to walk out my front/back door and see the splendor. The quiet, peaceful, breathtaking and colourful sight. I am able to enjoy it without the glaring of city lights or sounds of busy streets. It is just the sun setting on the horizon.

Easy to please....

At this little farm you know it is spring when your chickens start giving you these...

The girls don't produce much throughout the winter. BUT give them some free ranging and sunshine and they are happy little hens who deliver tasty little eggs.

Monday Night

This is what my Monday evening/night looked like. It really consisted of my butt on the indoor trainer for 45 miles. It took 2hrs 20mins. I had all the necessities: blackberry, phone, food and water. Oh yeah and some entertainment since Monday night tv is kind of lack luster. It's done and while I feel happy about it now, my ass my feel differently tomorrow.

Getting dirty but having fun!
