Pet Peeve

I'm sure I'm not the only one that notices unflushed toilets in public places. What I don't understand is when people see the "leftovers" why they don't flush it. I actually find this morning annoying than unflushed toilets.

I will admit not long ago I would see a dirty toilet and I would move on. Now if I see a mess I flush the toilet and then move on. I don't think people do this on purpose and I believe a lot of it is kids who just forget.

I know it is unsightly but really you just have to push a lever and it's poo be gone.

Just had to get that out.

Winter Fun

I am going to get a phone call tomorrow wondering why I am up so late. No reason just not tired and figured my blog needs major updating. We have been having so gorgeous weather the last week or so which results in some much needed time outside. Natasha LOVES it however after about 1/2 hour Ashley has had enough. She can't work well with her mitts so she takes them off only to end up with cold hands. Natasha wants to stay out well after mom and dad are cold. Oh to be a tireless kid again!!

Today while it was snowing...

Lost Friend

I am so excited. There are several of my friends from my swimming years that are never far from thought. I have been thinking about this one and finally decided to try and track her down. I looked up a phone number on mytelus.com and called it. I was sure, before dialing, it was her parents. I was not sure they would remember me but I was sure happy to get a call back. Her father called me back tonight and gave me a quick fill on their life over the last couple of years. I can't wait to call this person tomorrow and catch up.

I am expecting 2 phone calls from this post...my mom and sister...both wondering who I am talking about.

I will reveal after I talk to this person.

Gingerbread Houses

I bought these Gingerbread Kits at Costco and today we started them. The kids did really well but started eating more candy than decorating so we took a break and will finish tomorrow. I will post the finished product when they are done.

Plants

My dear husband is always bugging me to personalize/spruce up our home. During this 24 days shift I have added house plants to our home. Now I must admit I am not much of a gardener but being out in the country seems to bring it out of me. Here are some pictures of the new plants and the girls helping me transplant them. I bought the plants at Walmart and Ikea.

Haircut

Natasha has very thin hair that falls out quite easily. I actually posted about it on a familar parenting website. Anyway she is booked in with her PED in January as when I called they didn't believe the amount of hair she loses was "normal". I think its nothing as my hair falls out quite a bit and I still have a thick head of hair.

ANYWAY, while in Warman (SK) I decided (after consulting with daddy) to get Natashas' haircut like her buddy Brynne. I don't think she would have if she wasn't going to be like Brynne so that worked in my favor. I was hestitant at first but once I saw the finished piece, I loved it.
