Halloween Fun!!
Well Halloween 2007 was better than 2006. There was no snow and the weather was above 0C which is a bonus for all the trick or treaters. Since we are in the country now Halloweening has to be done in town, so off to Camrose we went. The kids were dressed up and we stopped in at my dad's work for some "practice." The lovely ladies there gave them they first treats. It was good to have practice because Natasha forgot her "Trick or Treat" and her "Thank you". After the stop at Gidos' work it was off to Grandmas' (and Gidos') house. There we carved pumpkins and had an easy supper of hot dogs. My mom, the girls and I were out the door at around 6:00pm. Natasha knows the routine and really had a blast. She seemed to be always waiting for us, telling us "Ok guys next house." Ashley had fun but did every second house for two reasons: 1) Natasha was moving to fast 2) She was walking and riding in the wagon. Camrose is quite a seniors town so I was not sure if the participation was going to be great. The seniors participated maybe even more than others. They greeted the kids with big smiles, talked to them and were overall extremely pleasant. One lady was even dressed up as a witch and really acted up the part...so sweet. We treated for just over an hour and headed back to my parents for a quick break. Then we hopped in the Envoy to visit a decked out Halloween house I noticed and then to Uncle Daylans' girlfriends house. By this time it was after 8:00pm and the girls (and chaperones) were reaching their Halloween capacity. We headed back to G & Gs' house for costume change (costume to Pjs) and some hot chocolate. We got home, had a extra long teeth brushing session, read a book and the girls were asleep about the time I turned off their light. Enjoy our photos below from Halloween 2007 (taken with my new camera).
