Why, on LP, do I sometimes feel like the kid in high school eating lunch alone?? This is not a far stretch from my high school life but I just thought it would have ended 10 years ago.
I like LP for advice/recommendations but I just can't stand the cliquey feeling of it sometimes.

I guess I don't see LP as somewhere to 'belong' to......I go there to see whats happening and some of the posts get me thinking...I see it more of my daily soap opera lol as I don't watch tv much.
I'm not sure I'd want to 'fit in' there lol! Kind of the same way I'm not sure I'd want to 'fit in' in an acute psychiatric ward ;)

Ah, I hate that high-school crap. I think of LP as a sort of entertainment, just like I think of watching TV as a pass-time. Don't let it get to you...I think a lot of these people have no social skills in real life so they see the internet as their social life.

Hey, if you're ever having one of those LP days..just come eat lunch with me k??? In todays day and age with our great technology...I've pm'd a couple members and had no response....LOL!!! How rude!
I completely understand where you're coming from and I very much agree with Jane and kyliesmom!
I agree with Jane, see it as a good thing. I've tried to join in on conversations, I've even shown up for a playdate that there was an open invitation to-only to have not one person speak to me!
Some of the clique-y people should spend less time on the computer and more time in real life, IMO.
