American Election

OMG this is so funny. This was posted on a friend page through facebook. I have been following the southern election to a degree. I watched some of the Vice-Presidential debate and one of the Presidential debates. If you know the players in the US Election I think you should find this funny. I think Will Ferrell is awesome and does the BEST George Bush. Anyway I hope you get a laugh...I certainly did.

Ashley

Mom wants pictures + Ashley = Not gonna happen

Ashley is such a difficult child to photograph. However if I remember correctly Natasha was also difficult to photograph at this age. Either way I wanted to take some pictures of Ashley while Natasha was at school and she was having NOTHING to do with it. Below are the BEST shots I got...boo. If you know Ashley you can see her character in the last picture. She simply did not want her picture taken so she covered her face. I was looking at the pictures of her feet...poor kid needs a pedicure at 3 years of age LOL.

Pumpkin Carving

Adam is home this weekend which means he will be gone for Halloween. That being said we decided we would carve pumpkins today. I remember doing this as a family when I was young and always enjoying it. We didn't get to do this last year because when I went to buy pumpkins, they were sold out everywhere. If I remember correctly there was a pumpkin shortage?? Anyway I played it safe this year and bought early. The girls (and us adults) had a great time. Natasha kept saying "This is the best day ever!!" Hearing that makes you remember that kids enjoy the simple things rather than those that cost a pile of money.



This is my husband. He has three adoring fans and he always makes us laugh!!!

The girls looking at him like "Are you nuts??" Luckily our girls are used to it and can answer that very question.

We have some farmers renting our grain bins this year. This girls have enjoyed watching the trucks come and go and learning about the process of harvest.

In the Garden....

As you can see (and maybe critize) my garden is not completely cleaned out. I planted peas late in the year with some hopes of having a later crop. I, in all honesty, forgot about them. However, the girls and I were out enjoying the afternoon and they came across several tasty pods. They were busy eating pods while I was doing some garden clean up. In the pictures below you can see that Natasha got a bitter one but luckily for their tastebuds there were many more tasty ones than bitter. Until this past weekend we have been lucky with no severe frosts. However this weekend we have been hit hard, with temperatures around -5/6/7C.
