Out for a Walk

These pictures actually belong after the "FROG" post so I apologize for them being so out of order. It is nice to be able to go for a walk and see so much on our little piece of land.

Sunsets

A couple of sunsets taken from my driveway. I don't believe you could get pictures like these living in the city. Another reason Alberta is so beautiful!

Gardening Girls

If I am doing something outside and "lose track" of the girls and call for them the answer I most get is "We are in the garden". Natasha loves to be in the garden picking things and Ashley is alway behind her. The pick carrots and eat them with just a hint of dirt still present. I was lucky to have the previous owners plant a little garden solely for us. We have tons of potatoes, dill, beans, carrots, lettuce and squash. We even have some asparagus but it was over grown by the time we moved here. I am very excited for next spring so I can plant a garden with my "essentials". It will be hard for Natasha to have to wait 3 months until she can actually pick something to eat. When our 2008 crop is ready she will be most likely found in the garden.

August Long

These are pictures from August Long Weekend when we hosted our annual Family Campout. I didn't take many picture with my camera because as soon as I am around an SLR Digital I kind of forget about mine. Anyway these are a couple of shots.

Camrose Big Valley Parade

Every year Camrose has a parade before the Big Valley Jamboree. The last time we went Natasha was just coming 1. Now that we are so close to Camrose I am sure this will be an annual thing. It is quite a good, long parade. This year there was not to many animals and I found them quite "cheap" on the candy throwing. Other than that it was good. One float was actually throwing cowboy hats...which I did not catch. The girls had fun as did I.

Sunny

We got this kitten from a litter from my uncle. We said yes we would take a kitten when we moved and then we changed our mind. My uncle being who he is, sent one to our place anyway. Well Natasha named her Sunny and we loved her immediately. We kept her in our quonset as we wanted her as an outside cat. She was skittish at first being she was born outside and wasn't handled a whole ton. She warmed up to us right away and soon enough was coming to us as soon as we opened the door. She was real sweet. We had her locked up for a couple of weeks until we were comfortable she knew where home was. She stuck close to her stomping grounds and started to come closer to the house around the long weekend. We left for the long weekend and had someone staying at our place. We came home to learn the Sunny had an accident with a vehicle and did not come out on top. RIP Sunny...you were a sweet kitten!

Daddy and His Girls

A daddy and his girls picture update. This was taken the last time Adam left for work.

Frogs

There are so many frogs out here. We filled up a pool and starting getting frogs for the girls. Natasha would pick them up out of the pool but wasn't quite up for out of the grass. She can no catch the frogs from the grass, and Ashley will pick them up (though not delicately). For a couple of days the girls were totally fasinated but now...its just frogs.
