I created a slideshow for the girls after their first year of life. I meant to do it every year but I never did. I think I will do every five years as you can really see the change over a 5 year period.

When we live on the westend in Edmonton I would always see this guy out and about. He always brought a smile to my face when I was fighting/sitting/dealing with buys traffic. This was posted on another blog that I follow.

Happy Birthday Natasha

Natasha's birthday was this past Monday but we postponed celebrations until Adam (daddy) was home. She had kindergarden on Friday but we decided we would have her gift ready for when she came off the bus. It was a busy day as we had to get into Edmonton to pick it up and make it back in time to have it ready. The first thing she asked off the bus is if we had her present. I asked her to look around to see if she could spot it. Soon enough she did and there was no waiting....












Once she realized what it was, the poor thing started crying and ran to her daddy. She must have hugged him for about 30 seconds and cried into his neck. Then she came over to me and cried on my shoulder. She told me "Mama I am crying happy tears." She quickly wanted to get on and get going. She has very strict rules, that not obeyed, will result in the quad getting parked for days. The quad is also governed down for speed so she can't go very fast at all. This is not a typical birthday gift in our household. The price was really right and the hope is it will last through at least one more child. Also she is not allowed to have passengers, EVER, but Ashley wanted to sit with her on the quad for a picture. Yesterday (Sat) she went out in the cleared fields surrounding our land. She looks so funny! Her thumb gets sore so she is only able to go for a little bit before she needs a break.

Ashley wanted a quad but we told her she was to little, so think of something special she wanted to her upcoming birthday. Her response "Candy." Done and Done.





Every year I let the girls pick out their cake. This year Natasha wanted a candy cake (my kids and their sweet SWEET tooths). The result was sour gummy worms around the top and base of the cake and nerds sprinkled on top. SHE (and Ashley) LOVED IT!!! Adam and I however could barely swallow pne piece down.

I don't feel like blogging lately. I seem to be irritated with the world during this pregnancy. Anyway these pictures are for my dearest hubby who checks my blog when he is at work. For those of you also reading I hope you enjoy them.

The pictures were taken in the field surrounding our property. Harvest has come and gone and the fields are once again bare. I love the look of harvest but I love the freedom of an open field. The owners of the land allow us to quad/skidoo on the property once the fields are cleared until the seed is laid in the spring. The girls love going for a long quad ride and the dogs enjoy the long run.

Nesting???

I am probably not nesting at 22 weeks but I am trying to get myself organized for the winter.

I have gone through all of the girls clothes (4 big rubbermaid bins). I have kept items that have sentiment to me, clothes that will still fit Ashley and the rest will be donated or given away. I have three, big, orange garbage bags to give away. I might sell some items but 80% (slightly less) were given to me as hand me downs so I hate to make a profit on them. I would rather them go to someone in need. It's funny as I was going through the clothes I knew nearly every item and who I received it from. I have a good memory like that I guess...or maybe all mothers are like that. I have one bin remaining for Ashley and one small bin of sleepers and sentimental clothes.

I was at Walmart today and bought a bunch of jars for canning. I am going to can peaches, pears, and a couple different kinds of soups. I would like to also can some salsa but we will see on that one. I have never canned before but my mom is willing to help me so I am grateful for that. I also have the urge to get some freezer meals made. The BC fruit stand in Camrose has canning peaches availbe so I am going to pick up a case or two tomorrow or Thursday. The lady working the stand said she sold out quickly last week.

Anyway. I don't think this is actual nesting. I didn't get the nesting with Natasha as I was induced BUT with Ashley I did. The night (or very early morning) my water broke I was cleaning bathrooms, washing floors and tidying up like crazy. When I went to bed...my water broke.

I think with me its planning and the time of year I am due. I want to know well in advance what is going on as far as Christmas dinner, travelling, company, etc. I really dislike last minute especially when a major event is just around the corner.

Whatever it is...its good for my house, my freezer, my storage room, etc.
