I know some people start spring cleaning in January however I despise cleaning. It wasn't until I got the gardening itch that I decided to start with my spring cleaning. My thought process is the sooner my house is done I can be outside when spring is actually here. We came here half way through the spring/summer and missed all the spring work outside...it is going to be a lot but worth it. I love our place!!!
Anyway yesterday I cleaned our back entrance, storage room and my laundry room. I did some reorganizing and moving of things. I think I will tackle one room a day (here and there) and I should be down in no time. I want to wash walls, windows, screens, etc. I got some bins to start up my recycling again. I do miss that about Edmonton; put everything in one bag and put it on the curb....no sorting. Anyway we have been accumulating a lot of garbage and it has been weighing on my conscience.
I also want to get a compost going this year. If I recycle and compost it should cut down on our garbage immensely. I am also trying to change my cleaning supplies to more "green" choices. I have switched my laundry detergent and dish detergent.I have found some websites that have natural cleaning recipes that I will also try and use. I feel bad saying it but it seems I am more aware of what I use when we have a well and our own land to protect.
Are you done your spring cleaning or is this something you do throughout the year??

I tend to do a huge clear out of clutter etc in September and again just after Christmas....the new school year and the real new year seem to push me into action re getting the house clean and spruced up.....
I can totally relate to the garbage issue....I need to go to the bottle depot. What to do with all those empty milk cartons??? Build a raft???LOL
Ugh, spring cleaning...I know it needs to be done but I'm not the type of person that enjoys scrubbing baseboards or hauling out my fridge so I can vacume the coils LOL. I know some people really love that sort of thing LOL.
I need to go to the bottle depot, like Jennifer. I have 3 years worth of bottles and I've never, ever been to a bottle depot.
