Week and a half....

Updating with pictures is nice but it doesn't tell anyone what we have been up to. Today I sit here to write an update though I am happy to say not a "long overdue" update like my many previous updates.

Last Monday was Easter Monday so I did not have to coach in Sherwood Park. We enjoyed enjoyed the day at home just lazing about.

Tuesday , Adam was back to work and the girls and I completed our last swimming lesson. Through the winter my mom would keep the girls on Monday night (while I coached) and I would pick them up in the morning for our Tuesday morning swim lessons. Now when Ashley wakes up on her own she is very happy, pleasant and always smiling. When she is woken though, she is very different. The past two weeks I had to wake them up in order to get there on time and both times Ashley was upset and spent five minutes in the water before I took her out. Natasha did just fine. After swimming we went to my moms for lunch and then did a little bit of running around in town.

Wednesday we spent the day at home as in the evening Natasha has dance so we do any shopping in the evening. So 5:00pm and we pack up to go to dancing. We arrive at the studio only to learn there is no dancing because of spring break. This is my second dancing memory slip. A few weeks prior I forgot about picture day and Natasha showed up for pictures in her weekly practice outfit. Seeing as we live 15 minutes from the studio there was no way to get home, get dresses (full makeup and hair) and get back in time for the pictures. Natasha wasn't to bothered as I promised her I would dress her up and take our own pictures at home.

Thursday and Friday we at home days. We did a bunch of nothing. Friday after work Adam went to Foo Fighters with a buddy from work. He got home around 1ish after enjoying the concert and grabbing a quick bite.

Saturday morning we woke up and I headed into town with Ashley while Natasha stayed with daddy. I did a little grocery shopping and knocking around then headed home. We had a quiet rest of the day.

Sunday morning we woke up to a lovely day. The girls were schedule to be picked up by Nana and Grandad for a visit but it was a lovely day for a drive so Adam and I decided to drive them down ourselves. We dropped the girls off and headed into town to grab a quick visit with Michael. Adam and Michael went to get something to eat while I ran to Linens N Things and bought my new deep fryer (Christmas present replacement). I went and picked up Adam and we were headed home. When we got home we spent a couple of hours outside cleaning up. Raking, burning, picking up dog shit, etc. We actually got a lot accomplished.

Monday Adam was back to work and I had the day to myself. I did some laundry and lazed around in the morning. I had a shower and headed into Camrose for a quick stop before Edmonton/Sherwood Park for coaching. It was my moms birthday so I stopped at Safeway, bought flowers, and went over for a birthday coffee. I think I left around 2pm for the city. I had to drive to the southside to pick up some clothes I bought from an LP member. They are all very nice many still with tags. Most of the lot is for Natasha with the exception of 2 dresses for Ashley. A couple of pieces fit Natasha now but most of it will be put away as it was purposely bought big. Anyway after my quick pickup I headed off to Costco for a couple of things. As usual a couple of things turns into a bill I wasn't anticipating. I found the Costco director camping chairs, only 3 left, which I quickly snapped up. A lady was also looking and said the same chairs at Campers Village were $50+. These chairs made their way onto our camping scene years ago and were alway the conveted chair. Anyway they arrive at Costco and very quickly sell out. My mom managed to get two last year and now I have some. After Costco I headed to the pool expecting to coach. I arrived only to see NO ONE there. I waited until 5:30 which is when we would get in the water and still no one. I finally got a hold of the head coach only to learn that practice was cancelled all week due to spring break. I will report though that I was not informed in advance so it was not my lack of memory. Anyway after the confirmation of no practice I headed home.

Tuesday I woke up at regular time, updated my blog and headed into town AGAIN to take advantage of Sobeys 15% Tuesday. I also bought some more fish and filter stuff before heading home. I got home, put groceries away and did some cleaning up. I cleaned up the girls toy room, did laundry and made two casseroles of lasgsna (which my husband did not like). The girls came home around 5:30-6:00. Ashley was not feeling good so I was anticipating a long night.

Ashley was up most of the night with a cough and fever which kept me up most of the night. The next day Ashley was VERY needed. She wanted to do nothing but sit in the rocking chair with mama which left Natasha to watch TV and the house to sit. As soon I lay Ashley down for a nap she would wake up...the only time she slept was in my arms. Around 4ish my dad called asking if he could deliver a load of wood. I took advantage of his offer and met him in Ohaton with Natasha. He took Natasha home, then to dancing and then home with the load of wood for our fire pit. While Natasha was gone I sat and watched tv as I cuddled my sick bird Ashley. Ashleys fever spiked around 11:30 at which time I gave her Advil and she cuddled on the couch with me. After a while she asked to go back to her bed and slept soundly through the night. She woke up around 8am and came and slept in my arms until 9ish.

Today we are going to spend at home or MAYBE go into town and get Adams oil changed in his truck (he is overdue). I have some tidying up I want to do because of yesterday.

That's it.
