Nesting???
I am probably not nesting at 22 weeks but I am trying to get myself organized for the winter.
I have gone through all of the girls clothes (4 big rubbermaid bins). I have kept items that have sentiment to me, clothes that will still fit Ashley and the rest will be donated or given away. I have three, big, orange garbage bags to give away. I might sell some items but 80% (slightly less) were given to me as hand me downs so I hate to make a profit on them. I would rather them go to someone in need. It's funny as I was going through the clothes I knew nearly every item and who I received it from. I have a good memory like that I guess...or maybe all mothers are like that. I have one bin remaining for Ashley and one small bin of sleepers and sentimental clothes.
I was at Walmart today and bought a bunch of jars for canning. I am going to can peaches, pears, and a couple different kinds of soups. I would like to also can some salsa but we will see on that one. I have never canned before but my mom is willing to help me so I am grateful for that. I also have the urge to get some freezer meals made. The BC fruit stand in Camrose has canning peaches availbe so I am going to pick up a case or two tomorrow or Thursday. The lady working the stand said she sold out quickly last week.
Anyway. I don't think this is actual nesting. I didn't get the nesting with Natasha as I was induced BUT with Ashley I did. The night (or very early morning) my water broke I was cleaning bathrooms, washing floors and tidying up like crazy. When I went to bed...my water broke.
I think with me its planning and the time of year I am due. I want to know well in advance what is going on as far as Christmas dinner, travelling, company, etc. I really dislike last minute especially when a major event is just around the corner.
Whatever it is...its good for my house, my freezer, my storage room, etc.

It's OUT!!! (little brag post)
The Fall Edition of Canadian Scrapbooker is out (if you have a subscription). It will hits stands September 1/08 in stores.
If you pick it up check out page 127. My moms page, featuring pictures I took of Natasha bobbing for apples, is on that page. My mom also has 3 cards featured in the magazine but I can't remember what page.

Wow...
Where has the summer gone? I look back at my posts and they are few and far between. I am not sure what my problem has been. I really can't find or say a logical reason for my lack of updating. It's not that things haven't been happening or pictures haven't been taken, it's just me. So, readers, bare with me as I try and catch you up.
In this post I am just going to update everyone on the pregnancy.
The pregnancy is going well. I actually can't believe I am 21 weeks along. Over half way done. It seems the time has flied yet in the same breath, not moving fast enough. I am blessed to get pregnant easily and I know my body is doing something wonderful. On the other hand I am not the woman who loves being pregnant. I worry about the baby. I worry about weight gain. I worry about my looks. I worry about my changing role as a mother. I worry about the change to our family, to our girls. Now don't read that and think "Oh my, what a basket case. Geez Relax." I don't spend my days being stressed or in a constant state of panic. I don't let those things become all consuming but they are things I think about.
I have been feeling movement for sometime now and it just starting to become predictable. I love feeling this baby and the feeling that I am starting to know the patterns. It seems this time around I have felt movement much earlier and the kicks have gotten stronger earlier. Natasha felt movement the other day at just over 20 weeks. Adam did not feel Natasha move until 25 weeks. I love watching the girls and their seperate excitment about our new family addition. Natasha understands a lot more and can't wait to be a little mommy. Ashley wants to lay "with" baby and kiss my belly. They both refer to the baby as mine. I told them the other day that even though the baby is growing inside of me the baby is the family. The baby is OURS. They smiled at the thought of the baby being theirs.
As much as people believe I am a disorganized person, I really think differently. Yes my house isn't in showhome condition, nor is my yard BUT to be cleanliness does not equal organization. Anyway I have the baby room set up as well as most of my newborn necessities (receiving blankets, sleepers, undershirts, etc) washed and put away. I have the crib set up. I have all fabrics washed for items such as the car seat, swing, etc. I have wiped everything down. I looked at sleepers that Natasha and Ashley both wore. I forget how small they are. The sleepers are tiny and I remember my girls still swimming within them. It didn't last long but it was there if I didn't blink.
I had an ultrasound at 18weeks. Adam and I were torn about whether or not to find out. One day Adam really wanted to and I did not. The next day, we flipped positions on the topic. The day of the ultrasound we still had not decided. I asked the tech if she would look for the sex, right it on a card, and seal it within an evelope so Adam and I could open it together. She told me only if she was really, REALLY sure. Adam actually called during the exam and the tech said she could tell us while he was on the phone. We declined since neither of us was sure as to what we wanted to do. So the tech did as I asked. She stated she would be really surprised if the baby turned out as the other sex. Anyway as I was driving home I talked to Adam and told him now that the info was in my hands...I just wanted to tear it open. He said do it. So over the phone, on the highway, we learned we were having a......BOY!!!! We were both SHOCKED!!! It still feels foreign to say that I am having a boy. With two girls and 5 years of pink it will bring a whole new dynamic to our family. I have put my pink things away. I have bought some blue things and boy clothes.
We are looking forward to this new change to our family.

7Jays - Kitten
I have not found the other kittens and I am believing now that they are gone (in one capacity or another). The mother is not nursing the one kitten anymore. I have not seen or heard anything. The mother has not brought them to the house where the other cats eat. I have one little black one who is eating solid food and is used to others cats and the dogs. Unfortunately is kind of fuzzy and I know you wanted a short haired cat. I thought I would check with you first before posting him elsewhere.

Big Valley Parade
We have been going to the Big Valley Parade for, I think, 4 years now. It seems to have been downscaled over the years but the kids really enjoy it and they love catching the candy. This year there was funny float, Cabin of Love. It is an adult store in Camrose and an employee (my guess) was handing out coupons for 15% off. It was odd for a family type parade. My brother and I were cracking up and were thankful they had some taste and didn't have the nurse bent over some table. I didn't attend Big Valley this year but will be going next year because the big headliner is....TIM McGraw. I have seen this man in concert twice and let me tell you...he is definitely worth the money. He sounds great, puts on a great show...and for women (maybe some men too) is nice to look at. The new baby will be 6-7 months old so I should be able to go out for some drinks and great country music.
