Poppies
I have tons of poppies. These oranges one are just huge and stunning. I have some wild red ones as well out by my garden. I have notices my LUPINS are developing buds which I can't wait until they bloom. I LOVED them last year. I think I am going to get some Peonies from my mom as she is not crazy about the flowers. Funny how every gardener has their own personal favorites. I had the girls put their hands beside the orange poppies to give everyone an idea how big the blooms are.

My gosh, that orange poppy is huge!
In the '60s, the police came and told my mom's neighbour that she had to get rid of whatever variety of poppy that she had growing...apparently it was the opium-producing variety LOL.
Poppies are beautiful...
You know bees can't see red but they CAN see red poppies :) something to do with the ultraviolet light :) I love poppies :) I have a painting of a field of poppies on my wall. I have few growing in my garden but Charlie decided to sleep on many of them before they even had a chance to flower! Needless to say most didn't survive THAT weight lol!
